All right imaginarians, Dr. G here, so wanted to share a couple of things going on this week and later this month.

United Public Radio Network!

So this thursday, at 610pm EST, I will be the guest on the United Public Radio Network 107.7FM! We will be discussing dreams and how to make sense of them, and this is not coming from astrology or crystals or tarot–although I’m not really opposed to such things–but from dream science as well as clinical work. I’ve been a psychiatrist for 20 years and published all kinds of stuff in bunches of journals. If you like those other things, don’t panic, I’m not interested in “debunking” or any of that. I mean, has anyone actually done a rigorous study of tarot cards or healing crystals? If so, I’m not aware of it. But what I do know, is that there have been decades worth of rigorous scientific studies of dreaming brains and how THEY work, which is what led me to write such books as the Neurobiology of the Gods and Understanding Dreams, both of those you can find at my website–check the profile for that and my fantasy novel. But anyway, this show should be fun, and I hope to see YOU there (metaphorically, since it’s radio).

Fun Con 2026!

So what else? Well, this weekend is also Fun Con, which if you happen to be in Billings Montana, you know who you are, then you should come on down for it. I did Fun Con to sell my fantasy novel King of the Forgotten Darkness, and also to give a preview for the board game I’ll be selling there, which is Erentyr: the Forgotten Darkness.

Erentyr is a cooperative fantasy board game where you make 1-5 heroes and go in against a game system. It has endless replayability, character building across multiple games, a new experience every time, and we have tons of expansions on the way. You can check all that out at Erentyr.com. This game and 2 of the expansions will be available at Fun Con, so don’t miss out on THAT. Of course I will be selling the fantasy novel too, like last year, when we sold out–the game is set in the fantasy world of the novel, naturally.

Both the game and the book are a project, labor of love I’ve been working on in my off-time for over 25 years, while I was trying to get a real job and raise a family. But now, finally, I can unleash this stuff on the world and hopefully you’ll get a chance to be there, at least in spirit, and join in the fun. See you next time!
