James Mills from the fantasy e-zine The Arcanist has posted a new, in-depth review of King of the Forgotten Darkness over on his website, and it's very insightful. James is a true writer at heart, and has understood a great deal of what I was going for with this first installment of the Raven's Tale.

Soo too can you read in deeper and see a plethora of intentional mythological and psychological stitches woven into the broader narrative. You could hand this book to your 13-year-old son and be confident he’ll fall in love with the world of Erentyr and come away better for it."

Other Collaborations
In other news, I had a fascinating chat with Dr. Philip Chase on the way mental health issues are depicted in fantasy. Philip and I get into not just my own work, which he has finished, but also other big works in fantasy, such as the First Law series of Joe Abercrombie, Way of Kings by Sanderson, the Wars of Light and Shadow by Janny Wurts, and so much more.
